Digital Tattoo

Digital Tattoo I created a Data Mine before for my previous class and it did open my eyes to how much information is out there about myself. This time around I decided to complete the privacy check on my accounts. Now I always thought I was a very private person and that you cannot see anything on my account unless we are friends. I first started with Facebook Photo Credit   because that is what I use the most. One setting that I know was in place was that nothing can get posted to my page without my approval. I have had this setting for the longest time and I believe it was right after high school that I changed it. At this time I also went through and deleted a BUNCH of photos from my high school years from my page. Now I know that these photos will also be out there, it made me feel better to know that it will take people a little longer to find them. I feel like this is the age that most teens start using social media and I would be interested to see is they use it the most.  Photo Credit Another statistic that stood out to me would be ...

My Data Mine  It is crazy to think about how everything you post on the Internet stays around forever. As soon as you update something on Twitter, Facebook or Instagram it will always be there. I remember when I was a in high school I would post anything and everything and I never listened to my mother. As soon as I entered into the career world, I realized I wish I never posted things I did before. I know am so caution of what I post because I know that future employers are able to search me and see anything they want. I started to only allow things to be tagged in my name unless I approve it. I wanted to make sure that if parents, students. employers, family and co-workers searched me they would not be disappointed.  Searching I started to Google my name. The things that came up were crazy. Information I found was my name, birthday, address(s), parents names, sisters name, income and also people I Photo Credit could know. At first I was like wow that is a lot of ...
